Once you have been granted access to a delegated email account, you should get an invitation in your inbox.  The email will come from [email protected] and subject should be something like this: "[External] ______ has granted you access to their Gmail account".  You have 7 days to accept the invitation.  If the link expires you will have to request access again.


How to Access After Accepting

Once confirmed and active, you can access the account by:

  1. Completely close out of GMail browser tab.
  2. Re-Open a GMail in the web browser.
  3. Clicking your profile picture or initial in the top right of Gmail.
  4. Selecting the account labeled "Delegated" from the dropdown menu.
  5. The delegated inbox will open in a new browser tab.


Please note that you will not be able to access the delegated account from the Mobile GMail App or any other Email Application.  You can only access it in a web browser window.
