The new Projectors and Displays being installed in the Science Building and Deloach 139A & B have the capability to be cast to from the ViewSonic AirSync app or webpage.

Installation:

Here is a simple way to install it on Windows:

  1. Launch Google Chrome and go to the AirSync web Sender site: https://airsync.net

  2. Click the install_desktop icon  on the right side of the URL bar.

  3. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.


On MacOS, IT has set it to automatically install on your computer.  If it isn’t there, you can look in Self Service.


On iPad, install the app from Self Service.


You can also just use the web interface at https://airsync.net if you don’t want to use the app at all.


How to use it:

  1. On the projector or display there should be an option to select the AirSync App.  

  2. Once you have opened the App it should display the below picture.  

    1. Note the Display Code and Password.

  1. On the device that you want to display, you can do one of 3 options:

    1. Scan the QR code and put in the display code and password.

    2. Open your AirSync App if you installed it, and put in the display code and password

    3. Go to https://airsync.net and put in the display code and password.

  2. On the next dialog that appears, select the resource you want to share to the projector/display:

    1. Tab: Share the contents of a single tab within your internet browser.

    2. Window: Share the contents of one application currently running. 

      1. *Do not minimize the window while casting*

    3. Entire Screen: Share the contents of your main display in full-screen.

  1. Once you have set what you want to display, click Share.

  2. Sharing instantly starts and your selection should now be displayed on the projector or display.

  3. Click Stop Presenting or Pause at the bottom of the screen as needed.
