This guide provides step-by-step instructions on printing a Word document as a pamphlet or booklet using a Windows or Mac computer on a Coker-issued Kyocera Copier.

Step 1: Open and Prepare Your Document

  1. Open the Word document you want to print as a booklet.

  2. Complete all necessary edits to ensure the document is finalized.

Step 2: Access the Print Dialog Box

  • On Windows:

    • Press Control + P or click the Print button.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the print dialog box and click Print using System Dialog.

  • On Mac:

    • Press Command + P or click the Print button.

Step 3: Set Printing Preferences

  1. In the system print dialog box:

    • Confirm the number of copies you want to print.

    • Click Preferences (Windows) or Show Details (Mac).

  2. A new settings window will appear:

    • On the Basic Tab (Windows):

      • Locate the Duplex setting and select Flip on short edge (third option).

      • Under the Color section, choose:

        • Color for a color pamphlet (first option).

        • Black & White for a grayscale pamphlet (third option).

Step 4: Configure Layout for Booklet Printing

  1. Navigate to the Layout tab on the left side of the settings window.

  2. Instead of clicking the "Booklet" option, use the Multiple Pages per Sheet option:

    • Choose the number of pages to display per sheet. For example:

      • To print a 4-page pamphlet with 2 pages per side, select 2 Pages per Sheet.

*I would suggest only using the booklet option if you are not printing front & back*

Step 5: Optional: Review Print Preview

  1. Check the Print Preview box (if available) to review the document layout before printing.

Step 6: Finalize and Print

  1. Click OK to save your preferences and close the settings window.

  2. Back in the system print dialog box, click Apply, and then OK.

  3. A print preview will display your booklet. When ready, click the Print button to start printing.
